We are so excited!! Captain Louis Skrmetta with Ship Island Excursions stopped by the library to donate 2 copies of ‘Captain Pete” by B. Holland Heck. The book is based on the Skrmetta family and the Ship Island Excursions. It’s a juvenile fiction book with adventures based on Ship Island ferry. The author was a passenger on the ferry and based her book on that experience. It was originally published in 1967, but it has been republished this year. Please give us a couple of weeks to have the books processed and then stop by the library to “check them our!
